The Lead, Business Systems Analysis analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures complex system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. May provide consultation to users with regards to automated systems. Solves complex problems and is called on to consult by other teams. Provides coaching/training to less experienced team members and may act as a mentor to less experienced team members. Viewed as a Subject Matter Expert within multiple disciplines. May supervise others, but not required.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Business Process: Lead others by working across boundaries and ensuring best practice solutions are developed and implemented. Seek ways to implement process changes to improve business process productivity. Collaborate with suppliers to recommend best practice solutions.

  • Functional Analysis: Direct planning, gathering and documentation of tactical functional requirements for complex business opportunities for assigned segments of the Winland IT Ecosystem.

  • Functional Design: Ensure functional designs of solutions for assigned segments of the Winland IT Ecosystem enable process change, continuous improvement and competitive advantage. Ensure solutions optimize and protect the Ecosystem and achieve maximum ROI.

  • Technical Analysis: Proactively validate conclusions associated with planning, gathering and documentation of tactical technical requirements for assigned segments of the Winland IT Ecosystem.

  • Technical Design: Ensure technical designs of solutions for assigned segments of the Winland IT Ecosystem are effective, efficient, and maintainable; provide reliability and scalability; and optimize and protect the entire Ecosystem by leveraging all appropriate resources within IT.

  • Construct / Implement: Ensure quality delivery of solutions that are contemporary and in accordance with company guidelines. Develop standards and direct technical maintenance of applications according to company guidelines. Direct design and execution of functional unit, scenario and integration test plans and scenarios. Assigned to multiple Projects/Initiatives at a time. Leads project planning. Leads multiple Projects/Initiatives at a time.

  • Incident / Problem Management: Direct and educate others in conducting effective investigation / diagnosis of incidents and root cause analysis of problems across the Winland IT Ecosystem. Develop, implement and document solutions in a timely manner and validate with users that service has been restored.

  • Change Control: Direct and educate others in conducting proper urgency, impact and risk assessment of change requests. Plan, schedule, implement and document changes in accordance with Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.

  • Human Capital Management (When Applicable): Develop each of his / her assigned team members by fully leveraging all facets of IT career development. Ensure effective development and delivery of Performance Reviews and midyear reviews for all assigned and (when applicable) matrixed personnel. Actively manage / ensure creation of individual development plans and associated training plans for assigned personnel ensuring they are both feasible and in line with organizational goals. Actively coach others toward demonstrating all behaviors defined by the Winland Vision, Mission and Values. Actively contribute to staff calibration activities and talent management reviews.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

  • Requires 8 – 12 years Information Technology / position related experience.

  • Knowledge and experience of key tools within respective area (see Addendum 1).

  • Knowledge and experience of core competencies within respective area (see Addendum 2), preferably within Consumer Products or Manufacturing industries.

  • Exchanges complex technical or nontechnical information with colleagues and immediate superiors and/or customers.

  • Required to interpret or clarify complex technical information to aid understanding.

  • Conveys complex information to audiences not knowledgeable of the subject matter.

  • Develops recommendations to promote complex ideas or services within area(s) of responsibility.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

  • Travel 5% to 40% depending on assignments

Experience and Capabilities:

  • Experience with at least five (5) full lifecycle SAP implementations preferred.

  • Capable of design, configuration, and implementation of large and complex warehouses and distribution centers (DCs).

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse, distribution and transportation business processes and best practices.

  • Familiarity with enterprise mobility solutions, plus hardware and wireless technologies.

  • Experience with system guided configuration setting up search strategies and automation.
